Hidden Ministries
The recent election in Kenya has been world news as we have listened to the reports flowing out of that beautiful country. It has been difficult for many of us that have visited or lived in the country to imagine what it must be like now. Our hearts ache for the people that we know that live and minister there.
On our visit to Kenya in April of 2007 we met many wonderful people. One of the couples that we met were Godfrey and Millicent Mbuthia, who are pastors and serve in the slum areas of Nairobi.
From what you will read below, Godfrey and Millicent’s congregation has been scattered and they themselves are now facing many struggles in their day to day existence.
I present this short posting today to point to the ongoing need to assist these folks in prayer and any support that you might be able to give. I know that the need may seem overwhelming – but God can use even the smallest thing can do – or do!

Hi Pastor Murray,
As you have heard from media’s in the world reporting, its true Kenya bleeds and crying for peace. We request you to support us in all your prayers because of the situation in Kenya.
We are very much affected because our people are misplaced. We thank God that anyone who went down to the knees in prayers, God heard and that’s why we are alive today.
Our people need food, malaria tablets and blankets and any other help they can find. Children go without food or drink, hatred between tribes continues to threaten the streets of our motherland. Keeps praying that God open a door to re-settle them. We try to save where we can due to our ability but we need prayers from you please.
Godfrey & Millicent Mbuthia.
