Powerful Special People

It has happened again. An almost unbelievable phenomenon of the “PSP” has risen around me. “PSP” is a force that is there when most needed. It rises immediately out of the quietness of our surroundings. It is a like the Special Forces in any movie (or real life) that comes along to do special tasks that no ones else can possible do.

So what is “PSP”? “PSP” stands for “Powerful Special People” that are actually ordinary people arriving when they are most needed – in crisis situations of another’s life.

This past weekend I witnessed another time of very difficult moments that a number of people were thrust into. A number of different situations took place in lives that I know well. In three situations great losses were experienced and hit the families like Tidal Waves – crushing and breaking all that is in its way. Three families have been devastated with the crushing blows they have felt. Within a 24 hour period the Tidal Wave of Human Tragedy hit with magnum force. I was close enough that I felt the tremendous force as it swept around me personally. I felt their pain and will walk with each one through the crisis.

In each situation there was a group of “PSP” that moved in to place. It has been amazing to witness the response.

1. There has been loss of life. “PSP” swept in to be there for the other persons. The “PSP” has just been sitting and listening – listening even to silence.

2. There has been medical emergencies that have crushed families. The devastating reports delivered by the doctors have nearly killed the family. It has numbed the victim of the emergency and stunned a family. They are helpless to stop the crisis. “PSP” swept in to be there for the other persons.

3. There has been very deep and tragic loss take place where horrible human interaction have resulted in personal tragedies. The family is staggering and falling like Dominoes on a card table. All that are close to the situation have been rocked by what has happened. But again the “PSP” swept in to be there for the other persons.

This story I am witnessing is not about what happened in the tragedies. It is about the who of all the tragedies. It is about the “Powerful Special People” that are there for us when we hurt so deeply. It is about the “Powerful Special People” that listen to our groaning that is endless. It is about “Powerful Special People” as they hug, giggle, support and care for and with us.

I am amazed at the innate abilities that some have. My hat goes off to the “Powerful Special People”. Thank you for your support.

We will get through…
This week will be a little longer than most. These tragedies are far from over. In all the situations as the Tidal Waves hit – it was just the report, the announcement of what happened that has hit with such force. Now there is a life to live after it is done.
On TV – the Night’s News makes the announcement and we are shocked at the report. Then we move on. The News allows us to do that. We are not personally involved. The tragedy is far away in a News Room.

Real life however is living the Night’s News over and over again.

This week it will be in a hospital room with deep emotional conflicts ramping up in a young man’s life.

This week will be spent in a funeral home and then sorting through the great pain as one that meant so much has gone.

This week will be in a court room for one. Then there will be numerous contacts that will support family and various players in this present crisis.

Through it all “Powerful Special People” will show their stuff. Thank God for “Powerful Special People”.

I could not do the work that I do without “Powerful Special People”.
