Northview's Bulletin December 2, 2007
“When an elderly woman was asked why she was standing in line to buy stamps from a teller when she could have used a stamp machine she replied: The machine won't ask me about my arthritis!”
How true that is. We need the touch of humanity…just a little bit.
TV is good and even entertaining…but it is not human. A great book is great…but not human. A pet is wonderful… but it is not human.
How many times have you been there for someone this past week? How many times have you enjoyed the touch of another human’s life in yours?
With the interaction with the humanity around us comes the good and the bad. All the fun things and all the pain come with the neighbour next door. But remember that you bring all yours as well. Why not share it with each other.
This Christmas season God will design place and situations where you can reach out and touch a life. Go for it.
