Help for Husbands Preparing for Valentines Day

If any of the men that read or hear about this Blog are considering making some points this week… take heed guys. Here is help for the guys that forget special occasions, can’t remember an important Birthday and maybe mess up on days like “Valentines Day”

Here is help for you.

But here is help for the Ladies too – just in case that he forgets. You can make your own card and sign his name to it.

About Love…
Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies. ~ Aristotle

All love shifts and changes. I don't know if you can be wholeheartedly in love all the time. ~ Julie Andrews
  • Love takes up where knowledge leaves off. ~ Saint Thomas Aquinas

  • Love is the beauty of the soul. ~ Saint Augustine

  • What the world really needs is more love and less paper work. ~ Pearl Bailey

  • Love does not begin and end the way we seem to think it does. Love is a battle, love is a war; love is a growing up. ~ James A. Baldwin

  • Love takes off masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within. ~ James A. Baldwin

  • A woman knows the face of the man she loves as a sailor knows the open sea. ~ Honore de Balzac

  • A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous. ~ Ingrid Bergman

  • The best proof of love is trust. ~ Joyce Brothers
Now guys – here is what you do… get a 8.5 X 11 inch piece of paper, lay it in landscape mode… fold it over to the other side… take a red marker… draw a big red heart on the front… colour that red…blue…orange…whatever… open the booklet and print carefully one of the sayings above and sign your name with a different pen…. Close it up… turn to the back page… print in small Published by “Your Name” – and you can even put in a price… you know… Canada $7.95…US $5.95

Now seriously…
It was the last statement by "Joyce Brothers" that caught my attention. That idea about ‘trust’ and ‘love’. The part that is amazing to me is…many couples get it wrong. They want ‘love’ first – then expect ‘trust’ to follow as a tag along. What I have found in all relationships is ‘trust’ far surpasses ‘love’.

The sad part is when ‘trust’ is broken – ‘love- evaporates quickly. It doesn’t just run away – it goes poof like a fog when the sun comes out.

Personally…
Today I will get one more “House Job” done. It is my day off and I need to do more baseboard stuff. It will be Alida’s first Valentine Day gift…cause I might forget on the 14th…the 14th…the 14th…the 14th…

I might get the card done later.
