COLFAX, Washington - A man is facing a sentence of one-and-a-half months after admitting he stole 93 pounds of women's undergarments.

Garth Flaherty, 24, was charged with first-degree theft and burglary in the stealing of 1,613 pairs of panties, bras and other women's underwear from laundry rooms.

Under an agreement with prosecutors, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced Friday in Whitman County Superior Court to 45 days in jail. He may serve 30 days of his term in community service, court officials said.

SWEETWATER, Tenn. - A woman has been charged with possession of burglary tools after police said a crowbar slipped out of her pants as she was lurking around a church.

McMinn County Sheriff's Deputy Rick Shadrick pulled into the church parking lot early Saturday morning after he spotted a car parked near the building.

He found Jennifer Hunt, 35, walking from behind the building, where she said she was going to the bathroom. When she was walking to her car to get her ID, a crowbar dropped from her pants.

NEW YORK - Spending hours on a cell phone each day may affect the quality of a man’s sperm, preliminary research suggests.

In a study of 361 men seen at their infertility clinic, researchers at the Cleveland Clinic found an association between the patients’ cell phone use and their sperm quality.

On average, the more hours the men spent on their cell phones each day, the lower their sperm count and the greater their percentage of abnormal sperm.

Okay, okay it’s a snow day!

Something is wrong with the world that I live in… 93 pounds of undergarments….do you know how big that pile is? Did he steal it all at one time?

No one noticed the crow bar – wouldn’t her leg look kind of weird….?

COME on – stupid studies of cell phone users that say phones affect sperm is well… STUPID…duh… the cell phone is held to your ear isn’t it? Where does basic anatomy come into the article?

What is amazing – people seem to miss the obvious and believe the ridiculous.

But that last statement I offer you is the basis of most high pressure sales. But you must add one more thing – THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A BELIEVER – who will miss the OBVIOUS – then you have a SALE!

I am convinced that if I could bottle “The Obvious” people would buy it by the box full. “The Obvious” is ‘Common Sense’. After one big swallow the person will state loudly – “Duh – why didn’t I see that?”
