From and For Jonah with Love

Today is a short report for Jonah Van Spronsen. Jonah has just come through his huge surgery. You may have read of this little “giant” in early postings on this Blog. His mom and dad are part of my life and our congregation’s prayer life.

The following is the text from his grandmother’s email to me to let me know what has happened.

Please pray for Jonah, his mom and dad - Jessika & George and his brother Samsun today.

Hi, it's Kim, Jessika's mom. She wanted me to email you and let you know how Jonah is doing after surgery. He had a 6 1/2 hour operation yesterday with some complications...... they had to remove the tracheotomy and could not get it back in again without force...... his kidneys shut down but are working today however he is still catheterized...... they accidentally cut his esophagus while removing fibrosis ( severe scar tissue), which required 4 stitches, they had to tie his hands down which is very traumatic for Jonah as he has post traumatic stress....... they were planning on being home Friday at the latest but now it will be some time next week...... there is no room at Ronald McDonald house so they have had to stay at the Delta hotel which is extremely costly but they cannot stay with Jonah as he is in ICU. They have tremendous faith and the doctors are pleased with how well Jonah is doing after such an evasive surgery. Jessika tells them that everyone is praying for him and that the glory goes to God.
