Sunflowers

The wind was blowing, the trees were swaying & bending. I was sitting out with a coffee taking in the sights of our back property. I began to focus on two giant Sunflowers, we had planted as seeds early in the season. Now they are 10 feet tall each with a huge, beautiful bloom.

But what caught my attention was their stalk--about the size of my baby finger. I was amazed at how these two flowers were bending & bowing in the strong winds, but not breaking. It made me think about our God--how God had given these plants the strength they needed to survive the storms that came their way. They did not look as though they should withstand the storm, but their strength was inherent in how they had been made.

If God would do that for these plants, how much more so would He do it for us, His Children. It made me feel very secure knowing that my God will give me the strength I need to endure any storm that comes my way. In fact, through knowing Christ, I already have that strength--I need only tap into it.

He has promised us He will never leave us nor forsake us. I am at Peace knowing God will Always Be There, watching over me, giving me His Strength.
