Testimony Shared about Hervey Shank's Ministry
Cal Morgan lives in Port Hope, he is a graduate of Eastern Pentecostal Bible College. At the present time he is serving as a Councilor for the Town of Port Hope.
He shared the following of his memories of Hervey Shank.
Between my first and second years at EPBC, I boarded at the Shank's home in Oshawa, while I worked at General Motors during the summer. Hervey graduated in 1957 and was the editor of The Torch. I knew him quite well. Hervey graduated from the Bible College Class called "The Heralders."

P.S. Below is Hervey's editorial to the 1957 edition of the Torch, Eastern Pentecostal Bible College's Year Book
"Through the combined efforts of each member of the Torch staff, and as we have worked together as a group under God's guidance, we are able to once again present to you a publication of the Torch. It has not been the work of one individual, nor the time of a few hours, but the co-operative work of many, and the toil of several hours. We have learned to build upon the foundation laid by past publications, and upon the pooled knowledge gleaned from any individuals. So we have endeavoured to bring to you a year book of better quality and higher standard than any so far published. May the testimony of the college ever be carried to higher heights and may the Torch ever play a leading role as part of that testimony."
"Our desire has been that through the new designs, ideas, and sections we might portray to you the work, study, and social activities of the students. There is much to speak of and one book cannot adequately express it all. We have here brought the high- lights of many of the phases of our College. May it prove a blessing to the reader, and show forth the goodness of God unto those prepared to study His Word. "
"In these days of sin blinded nations, and satanic inspired powers and beliefs, we need ever to be ready to "herald the truth.." As we study, to realize this ambition of heralding the truth, we take unto ourselves this motto. This is the theme of our book and the burden of every student. May this year's book help to strengthen every reader's burden to see the truth of God's love portrayed to every tribe and nation. May we all unite as children of Immanuel and students of His word to 'Herald Forth The Truth.' "
